This specimen was part of lot 44273 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), which sold for $35. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Lot of (2) 1/2 Decimos, 1869 & 1875/5. Various Mints. VF Detail--Mount Removed & VF Detail--Damage (PCGS). 2 pieces in lot. 1869-Medellin, gray toned, mount removal affects only outer periphery, and 1875/5, KM-150.3, cf. Restrepo-258.9a (like 258.9a but with large 5), most details present, untoned. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck at Medellin 1868-69 with similar issues coming from Bogota and Popayan. This liberty head design superseded the prior type (KM 144) which depicted two cornucopias and a pomegranate.

Recorded mintage: 26,000.
