This specimen was lot 44276 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/4 Decimo, 1869. Bogota Mint. AU-55 (NGC). Sharply struck with luster remaining in fields. Dark gray toning with iridescent undertones. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This coin is a quarter décimo, or 1/40 of a peso (a quarter real is 1/32 of a peso); this denomination was struck at Bogotá (shown here) 1868-71 and 1881 and Popayán 1868-81. None are common, particularly in nice condition.
