This specimen was lot 1663 in Goldberg sale 104 (Los Angeles, September 2018), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "China. 5 Yuan, 1983. Panda walking right. NGC graded MS-67." The five yuan was used for the one twentieth ounce gold panda starting in 1983, with a different reverse for each year. The series is still in production tho the twentieth ounce piece is now 25 yuan.

Recorded mintage: 75,454.

Specification: 1.56 g, 0.999 fine gold, .050 troy oz AGW.
