This specimen was lot 72081 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $141. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 5 Jiao, 1983. NGC PROOF-68 ULTRA CAMEO. Marco Polo looking left, two dates below. Hard mirror fields with frosted cameo devices." This is the only commemorative of this denomination. It was accompanied by KM-77 (silver five yuan with Marco Polo), KM-78 (gold ten yuan), KM-80 (gold 100 yuan), KM-81 (gold 500 yuan).

Recorded mintage: 7.050, proof only.

Specification: 2.2 g, 0.900 fine silver, .063 troy oz ASW, 14 mm diameter.
