This specimen was lot 3241 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA: Elizabeth II, 1952-2022, AR 3 dollars, 2010, Return of the Tyee, two tyee (Chinook salmon) swimming in a circle representing the circle of life with rose and yellow selective gold plating, with COA and original Royal Canadian Mint case of issue, Proof. As per the Royal Canadian Mint, 'If there's one fish that defines the history of North America's First Nations, it's salmon, an essential food on the northwest coast since time immemorial. After a few weeks of intense effort, coastal peoples built up abundant reserves during the salmon run, satisfying their needs and allowing them to enjoy their leisure time. A "source of life", this fish was the object of a veritable cult, particularly the largest species, the chinook salmon, which was called tyee, meaning "the king". Here it is treated to the height of its ancestral cultural importance, clad in rose gold and encircled in yellow gold on a superb piece of pure silver.'" This denomination was also used for KM 1011 and KM 1051.
