Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 77216

This specimen was lot 77216 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $504. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. Taler, 1694/3-RB. Rudolf August & Anton Ulrich. VERY FINE." This type was struck 1688-1703 and is fairly common. Confusingly, the post-1700 issues are catalogued as Dav-2111. Other thalers from this state for 1694 include KM 593/Dav-6389 and KM 602.2/Dav-6397.
