This specimen was lot 3514 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €310 (about US$439 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, FÜRSTENTUM Friedrich Ulrich, 1613-1634. Reichstaler 1613, Zellerfeld. Sehr schön +. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, Frederick Ulrich, 1613-34, thaler of 1613, Zellerfeld mint. Very fine or better.)"
This type was struck 1613-15 and lacks the "D:G:" found on the regular Dav-6303. We note four different thalers for 1613:
- KM 7/Dav-6285: Henry Julius/wild man reverse;
- KM 46/Dav-6298: death of Henry Julius;
- KM 47/Dav-A6303: wild man reverse, without "D:G:" in title, shown here;
- KM 52.1/Dav-6303: wild man reverse, struck 1613-28.
