This specimen was lot 30663 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Friedrich Ulrich 1-1/4 Taler ND (1613-34) XF45 NGC. Well struck with attractive gunmetal patina and blue-green toning about the rims. A lovely design featuring Fortuna standing on a globe with a flying sail and four scenes divided by legend. Beautiful and quite scarce." This and the accompanying double thaler are listed in Davenport but not in the SCWC.
