This specimen was lot 73142 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. 8 Soles, 1855-PTS MJ. Potosi Mint. PCGS AU-53. A very well struck Crown with just a bit of wear on the high points, and somber dark gray toning throughout. There are a few light marks on the bust, now toned over and not noticeable without magnification." This type was struck 1854-55 and is common. It varies from KM 112.1 in having the value "8 S" added next to the date. There is also an 1855/4 overdate.
