Sincona sale 63, lot 1510

This specimen was lot 1510 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 2,800 CHF (about US$3,509 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Matthias, (1608-)1612-1619. Taler 1613, Kuttenberg. Münzmeister Johann Sultys (1612-13). Sehr selten. Sehr schön. Feine Patina. (Holy Roman Empire, Matthias I, 1612-19, thaler of 1613, Kuttenberg mint. Very rare, Very fine, Nicely toned.)"

This type was struck 1612-13 at the Kuttenberg mint in Bohemia. The date is on the reverse, divided by the shield.
