This specimen was lot 2265 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €32,000 (about US$44,023 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Matthias, 1608-1612-1619. 10 Dukaten 1613, Wien. Abschlag von den Stempeln des Talers. r MATTHIAS D : G : R : I : S - AVG : G : HVN : BO : REX Geharnischtes Brustbild r. mit Lorbeerkranz, umgelegtem Mantel und der Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies, unten in der Umschrift Münzmeisterzeichen Spitze in Kreis (Matthias Fellner, Münzmeister in Wien 1612-1637)//ARCHID · AVS : DVX - BVR : CO : TYR : zc 1613 Gekrönter Doppeladler mit Schwert und Zepter in den Fängen, zwischen den Köpfen Reichsapfel, auf der Brust mehrfeldiges Wappen, umher die Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies, unten in der Umschrift kleiner, gekrönter Wappenschild. GOLD. Von großer Seltenheit. Hübsche Goldpatina, Henkelspur, kl. Kratzer, sehr schön-vorzüglich. Exemplar der Sammlung Münzen und Medaillen aus adeligem Privatbesitz. (Holy Roman Empire, Matthias, 1612-19, ten ducats of 1613, Vienna mint, struck using thaler dies. Obverse: laureate, armored and mantled bust right with order chain, the mintmaster's mark below; reverse: Crowned double-headed eagle holding a sword and scepter in its talons, with an orb between its heads; on its breast, a multi-part escutcheon surrounded by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece; at the bottom of the inscription, a small crowned escutcheon. Extremely rare, handsome gold patina, mount mark, hairlines, very fine to extremely fine.)

Matthias, *1557 Wien, †1619 Wien, drängte nach 1600, als sich bei seinem Bruder, dem kinderlosen Kaiser Rudolf II., die Zeichen einer Geisteskrankheit mehrten und der mögliche Nachfolger Erzherzog Ernst gestorben war, auf die Regelung der Sukzessionsfrage, wodurch er sich die Feindschaft seines kranken Bruders zuzog. 1606 wurde Matthias in einem Geheimvertrag von den Erzherzögen als Familienoberhaupt anerkannt, im selben Jahr wurde er Statthalter in Ungarn. Er fiel zwei Jahre später in Böhmen ein, um seinen Bruder zur Abdankung zu zwingen. Im Vertrag von Lieben 1608 trat der Kaiser seinem Bruder die Herrschaft in Ungarn, Mähren und Österreich ab. Erst nach dem Tod Rudolfs II. wurde Matthias am 13. Juni 1612 zum deutschen Kaiser gewählt. (Matthias (b. 1557 in Vienna; d. 1619 in Vienna) pressed for a resolution to the succession question after 1600—when signs of mental illness in his brother, the childless Emperor Rudolf II, became increasingly apparent and his potential successor, Archduke Ernst, had died—thereby incurring the enmity of his ailing brother. In 1606, by means of a secret treaty, Matthias was recognized by the Archdukes as the head of the family; in that same year, he was appointed Governor of Hungary. Two years later, he invaded Bohemia in an attempt to force his brother to abdicate. Under the Treaty of Lieben in 1608, the Emperor ceded sovereignty over Hungary, Moravia, and Austria to his brother. It was not until after the death of Rudolf II that Matthias was elected Holy Roman Emperor on June 13, 1612.)"

The previous ten ducats (Fr-89) showed a crowned bust on the obverse and the Hapsburg arms on the reverse without an eagle.
