This specimen was lot 2264 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €20,000 (about US$27,514 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Matthias, 1608-1612-1619. 8 Dukaten 1609, Wien. Geprägt mit den Stempeln des Halbtalers. a MATTHIAS II . D : G : REX HVN : DESIG : INREG : BOHE : Gekröntes und geharnischtes Brustbild r. Löwenkopfschulter, umgelegtem Mantel und der Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies//a ARCHID : AVS : DVX BVR - MAR : MO : CO : TYR : 1609 Gekröntes, mehrfeldiges Wappen, umher die Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies. GOLD. Von allergrößter Seltenheit. Im Gewicht von 8 Dukaten unediert. Einige Kratzer und Randfehler, kl. Probierspur, sehr schön. Aus der Sammlung Kommerzialrat Dr. Herbert Wenzel, Wien.
