This specimen was lot 3264 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €5,000 (about US$6,739 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ, BASEL, Stadt. Dukat o. J. (1620-1650), auf den Stadtgründer L. Munatius Plancus. GOLD. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Feine Goldtönung, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. L. Munatius Plancus, eine der schillerndsten Gestalten aus der Endphase der Römischen Republik, hatte 44 v. Chr. die Colonia Raurica (August) gegründet. Bei den Humanisten galt er daher auch als Gründer von Basel, da die Stadt im Frühmittelalter August als Bischofsstadt abgelöst hatte. Die älteste Nennung Basels stammt freilich erst vom römischen Geschichtsschreiber Ammianus Marcellinus aus dem Jahr 374 n. Chr. (Switzerland, canton of Basel, undated ducat, for the founder of the city. Rare in this quality, fine gold toning, extremely fine to uncirculated. L. Munatius Plancus, one of the most dazzling figures from the final phase of the Roman Republic, founded the Colonia Raurica. For the humanists, he was also the founder of Basel, since the town replaced Augsburg as a bishopric in the early Middle Ages. The oldest mention of Basel dates from the Roman historian Ammianus Marcellinus from the year 374 A.D.)"

This type is among the scarcer ducats of Basel tho none are common. We don't see it listed in the SCWC.
