Sincona sale 77, lot 4038, the same specimen?

This specimen was lot 32263 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $1,500. The catalog description[1] noted, "Switzerland: Basel. City gold Goldgulden (Ducat) 1621 XF Details (Edge Filing) NGC. A scarce and popular type, slightly creased and weak in the centers but otherwise fully rendered and with creamy gold original surfaces. From the Allen Moretti Swiss Collection." The second specimen was lot 4038 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 3,000 CHF (about US$3,642 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Basel | Stadt und Kanton. Goldgulden 1621, Basel. Basler Wappen auf Ankerkreuz, oben die geteilte Jahreszahl. Rv. Nimbierter Doppeladler. Selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Wie übliche flaue Prägung. (Switzerland, canton of Basel, goldgulden of 1621, Basel mint. Obverse: city arms over a cross, dividing the date; reverse: nimbate double headed eagle. Rare, Very fine-extremely fine, As usual weakly struck.)"

This type struck 1621-23 and accompanied a double goldgulden (Fr-20, unique) and an undated goldgulden (Fr-22, very rare).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.25 g, 0.900 fine gold, the first specimen 3.06 g, the second specimen 3.08 g.
