Sincona sale 76, lot 1482

This specimen was lot 1482 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 22,000 CHF (about US$26,704 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Leopold II. 1790-1792. Dukat 1790 A, Wien. Königsdukat. Von grösster Seltenheit. Fast FDC. NGC MS63. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Austria, Leopold II, 1790-92, "king's" ducat of 1790. Of the highest rarity, About uncirculated, Magnificent condition.)"

This type was issued briefly in Vienna along with the more common ducat (Fr-449) with the imperial eagle reverse.
