This specimen was lot 1145 in Jean Elsen sale 164 (Brussels, March 2026), where it sold for €400 (about US$557 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Joseph II (1780-1790), AR quart de couronne, 1790 A, Vienne. Type brabançon. D/ T. laurée à d. R/ Croix de Bourgogne entre trois couronnes, ornée du bijou de la Toison d'or. Légères traces d'ajustage. Belle patine. Superbe à Fleur de Coin. (duchy of Brabant, Joseph II, 1780-90, silver quarter kronenthaler of 1790, Vienna mint, Brabazon type. Extremely Fine - Uncirculated.)"

This denomination was struck at Vienna and Kremnitz 1788-90 and has a low catalog value (this example realized over nine times the catalog value). Quarter kronenthalers were also struck for Leopold II of Austria (Joseph's brother and successor) in 1790 (KM 40).
