This specimen was lot 1991 in Goldberg sale 122 (Los Angeles, June 2021), where it sold for $990. The catalog description[1] noted, "Transylvania. Ducat, 1789-E (Karlsburg). Joseph II as King, 1780-1790. Laureate bust right. Reverse: Crowned double eagle. Lustrous. NGC graded MS-61." This type was struck 1780-90 at Vienna (A), Kremnitz (B), Karlsburg (E, shown here), Hall (F) and Nagybanya (G). Friedberg lists this date under Hungary but the design is strictly Austrian. Double ducats (Fr-200) also exist from this mint.
