The first specimen was lot 72515 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Taler, 1764. Vienna Mint. Maria Theresa. PCGS Genuine--Cleaning, AU Details. Despite the noted cleaning, a great deal of original luster remains, especially on the reverse." This type was struck 1754-65 and is fairly common. It is struck to the convention standard. The second specimen was lot 1947 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,983 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. Konv.-Taler 1764, Wien. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Kabinettstück. Prachtvolle Patina, fast Stempelglanz. (Holy Roman Empire, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, convention thaler of 1764, Vienna mint. Scarce in this quality, cabinet piece, superb patina, about uncirculated.)"

Recorded mintage: 320,000.

Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, the second specimen 28,01 g.
