Künker sale 335, lot 4785

This specimen was lot 4785 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €220 (about US$288 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH. Franz I. 1745-1765. 15 Kreuzer 1748, KB, Kremnitz. Winz. Justierspuren, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Holy Roman Empire, Francis I, 1745-65, fifteen kreuzer of 1748, Kremnitz mint. Minor adjustment marks, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

Altho this fifteen kreuzer was minted in Hungary, it was struck to the unified design, featuring Francis I, that was also struck 1747-50 at Karlsburg (mintmark CA), Graz (GR), Kremnitz (KB, shown here), Nagybanya (NB), Prague (PR), Vienna (WI) and Hall (HA). In 1751, it was revalued to 17 kreuzer.
