Künker Auction 426, lot 3095

This specimen was lot 3095 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €470 (about US$666 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Ferdinand II., 1592-1618-1637. Reichstaler 1633, Wien. Feine Tönung, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand II, 1618-37, thaler of 1633, Vienna mint. Fine toning, very fine to extremely fine.)"

Austrian thalers for 1633 include KM 599/Dav-3091 (shown here), KM 600/Dav-3091A (Vienna, klippe) and KM 749.1/Dav-3110 (Graz). This type was struck 1625-38 and is common.
