Sincona sale 34, lot 4155

This specimen was lot 4155 in Sincona sale 34 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 1,300 CHF (about US$1,543 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Ferdinand II. 1618-1637 Taler 1632. Prag Münzmeister Tobias Schuster. Sehr schön, Schöne Tönung (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand II, 1618-37, thaler of 1632, Prague mint, mintmaster Tobias Schuster. Very fine, beautiful toning.)"

This type of 1623-38 is the most common thaler from Prague of the seventeenth century.
