This specimen was lot 1180 in Jean Elsen sale 165 (Brussels, June 2026), where it sold for €420 (about US$578 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SAINT EMPIRE, Maximilien III, archiduc (1612-1618), AR 3 Kreuzer, s.d. (1612) CO, Hall. Pour le Tyrol. D/ B. dr. et cuir. à d., une fraise au col. R/ Trois écus sous la valeur. Extrêmement rare. Nettoyé. Beau/Beau à Très Beau. (Holy Roman Empire, archduke Maximilian III, 1612-18, undated silver three kreuzer, circa 1612, Hall mint, struck for Tyrol. Obverse: draped and armored bust right in a ruffed collar; reverse: three shields below the value. Extremely rare, cleaned, Fine/Fine - Very Fine.)"
This rare type, despite being undated, has a mintage figure in the SCWC. It was issued again, with a date, in 1613 and 1616-18.
