Sincona sale 34, lot 4133

This specimen was lot 4133 in Sincona sale 34 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,086 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Matthias, 1612-1619 Taler o. J. Prag "Dreikaisertaler. Ohne Münzmeisterzeichen. Sehr selten. Gutes sehr schön. Unregelmässiger Schrötling. (Holy Roman Empire, Matthias, 1612-19, undated "three emperor" thaler, Prague mint, no mintmaster. Very rare, Good very fine, irregular edge.)"

This issue, one of several (including Dav-3065) featuring the "three emperors," is rare.
