Shown is an 1881ZsS five centavos, of a type struck 1870-97. This issue from Zacatecas is fairly common. Other mints include Alamos, Culiacan, Durango, Guanajuato, Chihuahua, Hermosillo, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Oaxaca and Potosi. No silver five centavos were struck 1882-85.

Specification: 1.35 g, .903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.

Recorded Mintage: 210,000.
