This specimen was lot 70160 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2020), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 1/2 Taler, 1610-HvR. Dresden Mint. Christian II. NGC AU-53. Lightly circulated yet retaining excellent detail in the portraits on both sides." This type was struck 1601-11. Another type (KM 22) was struck using a thick flan and quarter thaler dies.
