This specimen was lot 2390 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Sachsen, ab 1547 Kurfürstentum. Christian II., Johann Georg und August unter Vormundschaft, 1591-1611 Dicker Doppeltaler 1608. Dresden. Selten. Sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Christian II, John George and Augustus under regency, 1591-1611, thick double thaler of 1608, Dresden mint. Rare, Very fine.)"
The SCWC notes this type for 1604-11, tho all dates are rare, unlike the single thaler (Dav-7566).
