Sincona sale 22, lot 1633

This specimen was lot 1633 in Sincona sale 22 (Zürich, May 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Sachsen, ab 1547 Kurfürstentum, Christian II., Johann Georg und August unter Vormundschaft, 1591-1611 Taler 1608. Dresden. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Christian II, John George and Augustus under regency, 1591-1611, thaler of 1608, Dresden mint. Very fine to extremely fine.)"

The SCWC notes this type for 1604-11. A double thaler exists (Dav-7565) but is rare.
