This type was struck at Medellin and Bogotá 1871-78. The type is common. This specimen was lot 2946 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $207. The catalog description[1] noted, "Colombia. Peso, 1874 (Bogotá). Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated."

Recorded mintage: 14,000.

Specification: 1.61 g, 0.900 fine gold, .047 troy oz AGW.
