The first specimen was lot 44346 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $45. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 2 1/2 Centavos, 1874. Bogota Mint. AU-50 (PCGS). Well centered with decent strike, untoned. Lamination error near rim 7 o'clock on reverse. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck 1872-81 at Bogotá while Popayan and Medellin were striking quarter décimos. It is common.

Recorded mintage: 75,000.

Specification: 0.90 g, 0.666 fine silver, 0.019 troy oz ASW.
