This type was issued 1873-75 at Medellin under the new decimal system of 100 centavos = 1 peso. The denomination is written as 'CINCO DECIMOS'. This date is also known with a different style liberty head (KM 153.6) but that type is considerably scarcer.
Recorded mintage: 185,000.
Specification: 12.5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 0.335 troy oz ASW.
