The first specimen was lot 40318 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1875 Peso. Bogotá mint. AU-58 (PCGS). The last year of this denomination, with medium yellow gold surfaces. Contrasting deposits outline the design elements. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Heiner Stücker, Zürich, May 1968." This type was struck at Bogotá in 1871-75 and 1878. Medellín also struck this type.

Recorded mintage: 7,002.

Specification: 1.61 g, 0.900 fine gold, .046 troy oz AGW.
