This specimen was part of lot 44339 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), which sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. A date run of AU Medellín mint 20 Centavos, all encapsulated by PCGS. Included are 1874. Restrepo 286.1. AU-50. Ex. Norweb Collection; 1875/3. AU Detail, Cleaned; 1876/5. Restrepo 288.4. AU-58; 1876. Restrepo 288.3. AU-53; 1877. Restrepo 288.6. AU-50. (Total: 5 pieces). From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck in Medellin 1875-76 and is marked by a tiny B inside the O of ESTADOS. The purpose of this mark is unknown.

Recorded mintage: unknown but uncommon.

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver.
