This specimen was lot 33601 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $990. The catalog description[1] noted, "Cuba: Republic gold Proof "35th Anniversary of Moncada Garrison Assault" 50 Pesos 1989 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC. From the El Don Diego Luna Collection." After a hiatus from 1981 to 1988, the regime resumed the issue of gold and silver NCLT's in large quantities. This design was also issued in 1 oz silver (KM 230) and 1 oz gold (KM 335).

Recorded mintage: 150.

Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold.
