This fifty piso was struck by the Franklin Mint to honor Ferdinand Marcos, who also appeared on the nickel five piso (KM 210.1). It was hoarded and is common today altho many have PVC damage. The currency was reformed in 1967 and all the World War era coinage struck in the USA was demonetized.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 in matte finish, 7,875 in brilliant finish and 54,000 proofs.

Specification: 27.40 g, 0.925 fine silver, 40 mm diameter.
