This specimen was lot 1692 in Aureo y Calicó sale 423 (Barcelona, December 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "1799. Carlos IV. Santiago. DA. 1 real. Graded NGC as VF Details Cleaned, no. 2892735-001. Dings. Ex Aureo y Calicó 12/16/2009, no. 3017. Val and Mexía Collection. Rare in this condition. BC+/MBC- [fine to very fine]." This type was struck at Santiago 1792-1808 in limited numbers and, tho not common, is much less rare than preceding types.
