The specimen shown was lot 1013 in Sedwick sale 11 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it sold for $3,220. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Bogotá, Colombia, bust 1 real, Charles IV, 1799/99JJ. Lightly toned AXF, slightly off-center strike but no problems, bold overdate. Jorge Ortiz Murias collection of Colombian colonial minors."
The SCWC lists eleven dates for Nuevo Reino between 1792-1804, all scarce.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 3.38 g, 0.896 fine silver, .097 troy oz ASW, this specimen 3.2 grams.
