This specimen was lot 6366 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $431.25. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Hermosillo. 8 Reales, 1879-JA. Nice strike, toned. CHOICE UNCIRCULATED." The Hermosillo mint struck eight reales 1861-95 and most of the dates from 1874 on, including this one, are fairly common.
