This specimen was lot 289 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 26 (Winter Park, FL, November 2019), where it sold for $773.50. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Seville, [[Spain]], milled 4 reales "double pistareen," Philip V, 1729P, very rare provenance, NGC AU details / saltwater damage. Beautiful salvage piece with very sharp details (more like UNC in our estimation) and elegant toning over semi-lustrous surfaces, typically slightly off-center on an oversized flan (struck on a roller press). Pedigreed to the Ponterio auction of December 1985 (NYINC), lot #783. NGC #4740413-001. Recovered from: Reijgersdaal, sunk in 1747 off South Africa." This type was struck at Madrid 1728-40, Segovia 1728-29 and Seville 1728-29. It is listed as somewhat scarce.
