This specimen was lot 264 in Áureo & Calicó sale 306 (Barcelona, March 2018), where it sold for 2,800 euro (about US$3,452). The catalog description noted,
"1729. Felipe V. Sevilla. 4 escudos. Primer año de busto. Sin ensayador. Mínimo golpecito en canto. Bella. Parte de brillo original. Rara. EBC-/EBC. (Philip V, 1729 four escudos, Seville mint, without assayer, first year of the bust type. Minor rim nick, handsome, sort original luster remaining, rare, about extremely fine.)"
This type was issued at Seville 1729-33. All the early four escudos of Spain are rare and expensive.
