This specimen was lot 298 in Aureo y Calicó sale 261 (Barcelona, July 2014), where it sold for €160 (about US$257 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1729/8. Felipe V. Segovia. F. 1 real. Flan grande. Pátina. Parte de brillo original. Escasa así. EBC. (Philip V (1700-46), one real of 1729, Segovia mint. Large flan, toned, some luster remaining, scarce thus, extremely fine.)"
This type was issued in Segovia 1717, 1721 and 1727-29 for Philip V of Spain. The SCWC lists the type as common. The Segovia mint ceased to strike reales after 1729.
