This specimen was lot 75525 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. 4 Reales, 1730. Seville Mint. Philip V. PCGS Genuine--Holed, VF Details. 13.32 g. The RARE one-year type without mint or denomination shown. Struck slightly off-center and with a hole at the bottom, but exhibiting decent, gray-toned surfaces throughout. From the Richard Margolis Collection." This rare type was struck at Seville without assayer 1730 only. Similar two and eight reales exist.
