This specimen was lot 2166 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$370 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA, 50 Yuan 1991, Shanghai Mint. Panda. 5 Unzen Feinsilber. Polierte Platte, Im Originaletui mit Zertifikat, Proof. In original box with certificate."

The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. Other fifty yuan for 1991 include KM 303 (Olympic Games), KM 349 (gold panda), 357, 362 and 382.
