This specimen was lot 22436 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $264. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CHINA. 50 Yuan, 1991. Olympic Series. SELECT PROOF. Struck for the Barcelona 1992 - 25th Summer Olympic Games. Superbly cameoed with surfaces that exhibit light handling and minimal tone." Other fifty yuan struck in this format include women's volleyball (KM 205) and speed skating (KM 297).

Recorded mintage: 10,000 proofs.
