Künker sale 353, lot 3559

This specimen was lot 3559 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €550 (about US$755 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. Kupferner Dickabschlag von den Stempeln des 1/24 Talers 1786, A, Berlin. Prägung für die Mark Brandenburg. Einziges bekanntes Exemplar in Privatbesitz. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Schulten + Co. Köln, Oktober 1990, Nr. 1927. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, copper strike of the 1/24 thaler of 1786 Berlin mint. Only known example in private hands. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
