This specimen was lot 3677 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €4,400 (about US$6,124 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 4 Pfennig 1746, ICG, Esens. Geprägt für die westlichen Landesteile. Münzmeister Johann Christian Gittermann. Von größter Seltenheit. Nur wenige Exemplare bekannt. Rauher Schrötling, sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 76, Osnabrück 2002, Nr. 3178. Aurich was the capital of the county of Ostfriesland, which was ruled by its native princes until the extinction of the line in 1744, whereupon it fell to the Hohenhollerns, who retained the mint there. The Prussians lost the province to Napoleon in 1807 and it passed to Hannover at the Congress of Vienna. This is a rare one year type.
