This specimen was lot 619 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Taler, 1671. Rudolf August (1666-1704). NGC MS-64. Well struck on lustrous metal, with nearly every hair of bust defined.
