Shown is an 1870Zs-YH four reales, the final date of a type struck at the Zacatecas mint 1830-70. Assayer YH is recorded for 1868-74. Ten mints (Mexico City, Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Potosi, Oaxaca, Hermosillo, Real del Catorce, Guadalupe y Calvo, Guadalajara and Culiacan) struck this type of which Guanajuato is tied with Zacatecas as the commonest mint. This date is common.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 13.54 g, .903 fine silver, .392 troy oz ASW.
