Stack's Bowers 2014 ANA sale, lot 1641

This specimen was lot 1641 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Zurich. Ducat, 1767. PCGS MS-63 Secure Holder. Attractive with nice mint luster. From the Ervin F. Bickley Collection of Swiss Coins." This type was struck without change 1718-67 yet remains scarce.
