Sincona sale 4, lot 5471

This specimen was lot 5471 in Sincona sale 4 (Zürich, October 2011), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,459 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Kleine Spezialsammlung Zürcher Goldmünzen Dukat 1775. Fast FDC/FDC. (Switzerland, city of Zürich, ducat of 1775. Uncirculated to choice uncirculated.)"

This rare type was struck 1775 and 1810 only.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.49 g, .979 fine gold, .109 troy oz AGW; the second specimen is 3,42 g.
