Sincona sale 98, lot 4622

This specimen was lot 4622 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$145 including buyers' fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Batzen 1622, Zürich. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast vorzüglich. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zürich, batzen 1622, Zürich mint. Rare in this condition, About Extremely Fine.)"

This type was struck 1621-22 with the 1622 being the more common date. One thaler was 32 batzen.
